Last year the world was hit by a pandemic that caused millions of deaths all over the world.  The Coronavirus also known as Covid-19 put the world in a frenzy prompting the FDA to implement rules and regulations to the public.  According to CNN, “Authorities in 219 countries and territories have reported about 127.1 million Covid‑19 cases and 2.8 million deaths since China reported its first cases to the World Health Organization (WHO) in December 2019”.  Due to the rising numbers in Covid-19 cases, the world quickly conformed to wearing face masks in public, keeping a 6 ft distance between each other as well as a consistent reminder to wash and sanitize your hands on a daily basis to avoid further spreading the virus.  

With these new rules implemented into society, people were prohibited from entering businesses without a face mask or covering.  Some of the top name brand companies and small business owners soon began creating and selling face masks to offer to the public.  Many businesses now provide face masks and sanitizer at their entrances including stores like Walmart, Target and various supermarkets that we frequent everyday.  Fashion face masks have become the new trend ranging in various styles, funky colors and patterns.  

With the rise in Covid-19 cases and the short supply of face masks, my passion to help others compelled me to create my own line of face masks.  They are designed to provide people with a fun and safe alternative to the typical surgical mask.  I want people to be able to go out into the public feeling confident in a face mask that is fashionable as well as protected from germs and other harmful elements in the air.  Each face mask is custom made with 2 layers of 100% Cotton fabric and 1 layer of polypropylene fabric to meet the requirements of the FDA (Food and Drug Administration).  They are also reversible and include adjustable strings to provide versatility to fit any head size comfortably. 

The design of the face mask provides full coverage for your nose, entire mouth, chin and cheek area but still leaves enough room to breathe properly.  They come in a variety of solid colors and patterns to peak the interests of all age groups from children to adults.  Some patterns include Disney’s Minnie Mouse, characters from Disney’s ‘Frozen’ film, Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ film as well as Nick Jr’s ‘Peppa Pig’ TV show.  The face masks can also be washed and reused multiple times.

• Wear a face mask or face covering at all times in public.
• Wash and/or sanitize your hands daily to prevent the spread of germs.
• Keep a 6 ft distance between you and others in public.
• Try to limit your interactions with the public and stay home if you can.
